Surkhon Arena

The reconstruction ran through to April 2025, when the arena reopened, and cost close to 1.5 million US dollars. The old stands came out, FIFA-standard floodlights went in, the pitch was relaid, and the rooms behind the stands were refitted along with it. The new surface meets FIFA's turf requirements — Poa pratense, the meadow grass used on grounds built to that standard.

Surkhon, the club in residence, has carried the name since 1968, well before any of this work began, which leaves an odd gap: a club with a known birth year attached to a stadium with none. Its official site, pfcsurkhon.uz, no longer functions as a football address at all — it now redirects to an educational portal.
