Tapiolan Urheilupuisto
Espoo, Finland
The address gives it away: Урхейлупуйстонтие — sports park road. This is the football corner of Тапиола's sports park in Эспоо, sharing the grounds with everything else that happens there, including the Тапиола Фестиваали music festival each summer.
It opened in 1970 as municipal sports infrastructure. The change came in 2007, when the ground was modernised and enlarged to meet the requirements of professional football.
ФК Хонка brought Викинг Ставангер here in 2008 and Бангор Сити in 2009, then БК Хеккен in 2011, Номме Калью in 2012 and Силламяэ Калев in 2014 — Кубок УЕФА and then Лига Европы, over six years, in a park.
The pitch is natural grass with undersoil heating.
Its future is already dated. In 2025 plans were announced for a new stadium on the same site, to be built between 2026 and 2029.
