Zoucheng Sports Center Stadium

The Zoucheng Sports Centre Stadium sits in a valley cut by Jinshan Avenue South. It opened in 2014 to meet the needs of the 23rd Shandong Provincial Games, when the city had to stage women’s football and rugby in one place. The original construction cost ¥315 million. The Shandong Provincial Architectural Design and Research Institute laid down a 105m by 68m rectangle of natural grass, but the real shift came with the renovation that brought Shandong Taishan B into the fold. The reserve side of the Chinese Super League club needed somewhere to play in China League Two, and the stadium’s seating adjustments were small enough that nobody noticed, but crucial enough that the team kept knocking on the door every weekend. The capacity sits at 30,000, though the number has lost its weight after a match against Shaanxi Union F.C. drew just 1,839 people. Attendance is a doubt at this level. The facility still holds the VIP lounges and media rooms from its provincial games days, though those rooms are quiet now that the rugby has gone. Shandong Taishan B got dragged out of the higher leagues and settled here, while the Shandong Women’s Football Team uses the same grass for the Chinese Women’s Super League. There is no value left at that 30,000 figure, but the structure remains. The stadium does not keep a record of its own, and no official attendance figure stands above the rest.

The ground sits between Jinshan Avenue South and the Xiaohu Roundabout, a place where the hills close in and the track is not always visible. When the 23rd Shandong Provincial Games ended in 2014, the stadium had to find a new purpose, and that purpose arrived when Shandong Taishan B began their China League Two campaign in 2024.
