Shandong Taishan II

Zoucheng is a city of the Shandong plain some way south of Jinan, and its Sports Center Stadium holds 30,000.

The team exists because the Chinese Football Association decided top-flight clubs should have reserve sides registered in the professional pyramid. Shandong Taishan had not previously fielded one in the third tier. In 2023 the club entered China League Two, and Peng Xiao was named the division's best young player that season and moved up to the first team.

Players arrive, are looked at over a season or two, and leave in one direction or another — Chen Zeshi, already promoted to the senior squad in 2021, came back down to play here across 2024 and 2025; Zhang Yingkai went out to Chongqing Tongliang Long in 2026. The side plays in yellow and blue, the parent club's colours, and it has won nothing: reserve teams in China are kept out of the FA Cup and do not take league titles the way senior clubs do.
