Dalian Yingbo B

Puwan Stadium holds 30,000, and for most of a China League Two season it will hold nothing like that. The ground sits in the Jinzhou district of Dalian, out where the Puwan new development spread, and it was built for bigger occasions than a reserve side: Dalian Pro used it, and so does the senior Dalian Yingbo team. The B side plays there because the parent club plays there.

That parent club is young itself. It was set up on 24 December 2021 as Dalian Duxing, and the team now in League Two grew out of its youth structure rather than from any separate ambition. Through 2025 the group ran as Dalian Yingbo U21, competing in the Zhongguan competition and the under-21 league — a development side, not a professional one.

The change came on 12 December 2025. Playing off against Dalian Hanyu for a place in the third tier, the U21s won 2-0. The licence for League Two followed, and with it the name Dalian Yingbo B. So the club dates from 2025 in the sense that matters for the league table, and from 2021 in the sense that matters for where the players came from.

There is no separate crest. The B team wears the parent club's badge, made by Nike, and it has no website of its own — squad news travels through the senior club and the Chinese Football Association.

Among the 2026 squad is Liu Yi, a midfielder sent down from the first team to get minutes rather than sit on a bench. That is the point of the arrangement, and it is more or less the whole point of the club: young players and one or two who need games, in a 30,000-seat stadium on the edge of a city that has watched better football in it.
