Arseni Ageev

Arseni Ageev came through the ranks at СДЮШОР-8 in Gomel before catching the eye of BATE Borisov's scouts, who brought him into the club's youth academy. He made his senior debut for BATE in the Belarus Cup against Stenles Pinsk in June 2022, but it was away from Borisov that his career took shape.

A loan to Arsenal Dzerzhinsk in 2023 turned into the defining spell of his development. Playing as a right-back, Ageev contributed six goals and ten assists across the season, numbers that stood out for a defender, and Arsenal won the First League title that year. He was recognised as the division's most productive defender for that campaign, with 15 goal involvements in total. Arsenal made the move permanent for 2024, though his output tailed off, and he ended the year on loan back at the same club after a transfer to Lokomotiv Moscow.

That switch to Lokomotiv, worth €100,000 on a three-year deal, has so far kept Ageev away from Moscow rather than in it. Instead, he has been passed between loan spells: first to Torpedo-BelAZ Zhodino, where he made his debut in the Belarus Cup in June 2025, then to BATE Borisov, where he added two goals and five assists in 15 matches, and now to Slavia Mozyr.

At international level, Ageev has represented Belarus at under-16, under-19 and under-21 level, scoring his first goal for the under-19s against Armenia in September 2022. With a defender's goal return that first got him noticed, the next step is turning loan spells into a settled first-team role.
