Andreas Klausen Helmersen

Helmersen grew up at Freidig before joining Rosenborg's academy in 2012, and it was there, in 2015, that he became part of a piece of Norwegian football history: alongside John Hou Sæter and Sivert Solli, he was one of the first players ever to win the Under-16, Under-19 and senior Norwegian Football Cup in the same year. Two years later he added an Eliteserien title with Rosenborg's first team.

The path from there was less direct. Loan spells at Ranheim and Odd were followed by a free transfer to Raufoss in 2021, where he scored 13 goals in 56 appearances, with a further loan to Hødd along the way. A move to Egersund in 2024 turned into the platform for a breakthrough: 13 goals in just 14 appearances persuaded Bodø/Glimt to sign him that July for a fee of up to 5 million kroner, a club-record sale for Egersund.

At Bodø/Glimt, Helmersen has made himself a regular presence in attack, with 20 goals in 50 appearances by March 2025, and has won both the Eliteserien and the Norwegian Cup with the club. In the 2025–26 Norwegian Cup he finished as joint top scorer with four goals, level with Axel Ahlander and Ole Sebastian Sundgot. He was also named Norwegian First Division Player of the Month in May 2024, in recognition of his form at Egersund before the move north.
