Aleksandr Lomovitskiy

Aleksandr Lomovitskiy came up through Spartak Moscow's academy, having joined the club's youth ranks in 2006 after starting out at FC Moscow. He made his senior bow in 2017 with the reserve side, Spartak-2 Moscow, and that same academy crop delivered silverware: Spartak won the Russian Youth Championship in the 2016/17 season. Lomovitskiy had already tasted success on the international stage as a teenager, taking bronze at the 2015 UEFA European Under-17 Championship and reaching the round of 16 with Russia's under-17s at the World Cup the same year.

His path through senior football has been shaped largely by loan spells away from Spartak, first to Arsenal Tula and then, on separate occasions, to Khimki. Those moves gave the left-footed winger regular football outside Moscow before Rubin Kazan made his switch permanent in 2022, paying a fee reported in the region of €1.5–1.6 million.

Lomovitskiy has not featured for Russia's senior national team, despite the underage success that once marked him out. He arrived at Torpedo-BelAZ, known internationally as Torpedo Zhodino, as a free agent, taking up the number 7 shirt at the Belarusian club. Naturally left-footed, he operates primarily on the right flank, a role suited to cutting inside off his stronger foot.
