Ben Nink

Ben Nink's route into senior football was short. He joined SV Wehen Wiesbaden's academy at Under-13 level in 2019 after a trial, having come through the youth ranks at JFV Dietkirchen/Offheim and a brief spell at VfR Niedertiefenbach, and at 16 he signed his first professional contract with the club. His debut followed within months: on 10 August 2024 he started in a 3. Liga match against Hansa Rostock, a game Wehen won 1-0, and he provided the assist for the winning goal.

The following season brought a milestone. On 7 March 2025, against VfL Osnabrück, Nink became the youngest player ever to start a match for SV Wehen Wiesbaden, at 17 years, eight months and three days. His progress was interrupted soon afterwards by a muscle fibre tear that kept him out for months, ruling him out of that year's Hessenpokal final, which Wehen won regardless. He was not selected for the following year's final either, though the club retained the trophy again.

Nink has also featured for Germany at youth level, with appearances for the Under-17s and Under-18s, scoring once for the U18 side. He was part of the Germany Under-19 squad at the 2026 European Under-19 Championship in Wales, where the team reached the semi-finals before losing the final to Spain. In the summer of 2026, with his recovery from injury behind him, SV Wehen Wiesbaden extended his contract, tying the young defender to the club for the coming seasons.
