Carlos Solis

Carlos Solís reached the top flight the long way round, through six clubs and three separate stints at the same one. Before any of that, though, came the highlight he still has to his name: in 2011 he was part of the Universitario de Deportes under-20 side that won the Copa Libertadores Sub-20, a title that predates his entire senior career.

That career began at Sport Huancayo, where he made his debut in 2011 and took years to nail down the starting jersey — he was not a regular until 2017. The reward came the following year, when the club reached the Copa Sudamericana and Solís played in the first-round tie against Unión Española. He left for Deportivo Municipal in 2018, then returned to Huancayo for a second spell in 2019.

The years since have followed the same rhythm — Carlos Stein, Universidad San Martín de Porres, a second spell at Deportivo Municipal in a season that ended in relegation from Liga 1, then Cusco FC, then a third stint at Huancayo. Every one of those moves came as a free transfer; no fee has ever changed hands for him. In December 2025 he signed for ADT as a free agent ahead of the new season.

Across his domestic and continental appearances he has passed 90 matches and kept around 17 clean sheets. He has never been called into Peru's national team — a distinction that belongs to a different Carlos Solís, a defender who won two caps for the Peru side in the 1980s.
