About the player
David Suárez was born in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, he came through the youth ranks at Girona and Levante before dropping into senior football with Rayo Majadahonda, CD Arenteiro, Deportivo Fabril and UD Melilla, working his way through the lower divisions of Spanish football.
His career took an international turn in July 2024, when he moved to Bulgaria to join Botev Vratsa. He settled quickly, making 39 appearances and scoring twice for the club. That spell earned him a move to Germany in August 2025, when SV Wehen Wiesbaden signed him for a reported fee of €400,000 and tied him to a contract running until 2028.
Suárez has no senior caps for Spain, but he represented the Canary Islands regional side at youth level, playing for the U-16 and U-18 teams. At the Atlantic Cup he was named the tournament's second-best player.
At SV Wehen Wiesbaden he now plays in the 3. Liga.
