Fellipe Mateus de Sena Araujo

Fellipe Mateus arrived at Criciúma in 2021 after leaving Ferroviária on a free transfer. Wearing the number 7 shirt, the midfielder from Campina Grande has helped the club to the Campeonato Catarinense Série B title in 2022, the full Campeonato Catarinense in both 2023 and 2024, and the Recopa Catarinense in 2024 and 2025. He was named Player of the Tournament in the Campeonato Catarinense in both 2023 and 2024, and was picked for the competition's Team of the Year on both occasions.

His path there was far from direct. Registered at São Bernardo from 2011 to 2018, he spent much of that period out on loan, moving through Grêmio Mauaense, Cuiabá, Ferroviária, União Barbarense, Boa Esporte and Juventude before ever settling anywhere. It was during the loan spell at Boa Esporte that he won the Campeonato Brasileiro Série C in 2016, and he had already lifted the Copa Paulista with São Bernardo back in 2013. A permanent move to Ferroviária followed in 2018, interrupted by a further loan to Figueirense in 2019, before his switch to Criciúma in 2021 finally gave him an extended run at one club.

Across his career he has amassed somewhere in the region of 411 appearances and 48 goals. He has not been capped by Brazil at senior level.
