About the player
Hu Jiajin's route to Chinese football has run through several clubs in quick succession. He came up through the youth ranks at Shenzhen FC, a setup that ceased to exist in January 2024, and moved on to Jiangxi Dingnan United on loan, playing in China League Two while parent club Shenzhen Peng City continued to hold his registration. The loan is due to run until the end of 2026.
Peng City itself is a club still finding its identity: it relocated from Chengdu to Shenzhen in early 2024, having previously played as Sichuan Jiuniu, and operates under the ownership of City Football Group. Hu Jiajin moved to the renamed club in 2025, joining a Chinese Super League side built on that fresh corporate backing.
The midfielder has already had a taste of international football, turning out for China's under-19 side at the 2024 Panda Cup.
