About the player
Jesper Cornelius was let go by Randers FC at 14, after five years in the club's youth system. He did not drop out of football. He went to Randers Freja and then Vorup FB, two amateur sides, where he spent the next five years.
His debut came in February 2024 with Hobro IK in the Danish 1st Division, when he was 22. In 2025 he joined Lyngby Boldklub, and on 16 February 2025 he made his Superliga debut against FC Midtjylland.
At 193 cm he gives the club a tall centre-forward, and he is right-footed.
Readers should not confuse him with Andreas Cornelius, the older Danish striker born in 1993.
