About the player
Johannes Schriebl grew up playing for SC Bad Tatzmannsdorf and SV Stuben before joining the AKA Burgenland academy, where in 2016 he was named "bssm-Rabbit of the Year" for combining his schooling with football, and he captained the academy's under-15 side. With caps for Austria's under-15, under-17 and under-18 teams, including a run to the European Championship with the under-17s in 2019.
His senior path began at SV Mattersburg II, followed by a long spell split between SV Lafnitz II and the first team, SV Lafnitz, where he settled into the 2. Liga. A move to Schwarz-Weiß Bregenz before he joined ASK Voitsberg, where he continues to feature as a central midfielder.
Schriebl has yet to add a senior trophy to his youth honours. What stands out is the consistency of the level — 2. Liga football with Lafnitz, Bregenz and now Voitsberg — rather than any single moment that has defined him yet.
