Luka Lochoshvili

Luka Lochoshvili's career has rarely stood still. Since leaving Dinamo Tbilisi as a teenager, the left-footed centre-back has moved through six countries, taking in Ukraine, Slovakia, Austria, Italy and Germany.

He began at Dinamo Tbilisi before a move to Dynamo Kyiv in 2017, interrupting that spell with a loan to Slovakia's Žilina in 2019. A return to Dinamo Tbilisi in 2020 lasted only months before Wolfsberger AC brought him to Austria. Cremonese then took him to Italy, and it was during that spell that he went out on loan to Salernitana in 2025. That same year he joined 1. FC Nürnberg, and a further move to 1. FC Köln followed in the Bundesliga.

Internationally, Lochoshvili has become a fixture for Georgia. He made his senior debut against Spain in 2021 and has gone on to earn 33 caps, scoring four goals. His standout moment came at UEFA Euro 2024, where he played in all four of Georgia's matches at the tournament. His contribution to that campaign was recognised at home: in July 2024 he received the Order of Honour, one of Georgia's state distinctions.

Standing at 1.92m, Lochoshvili has built his reputation as a physically imposing centre-back, a profile that has followed him from the Georgian league through to Serie A and now the Bundesliga.
