Matus Alves

Alves came through São Paulo's academy after starting out in futsal at Santos from the age of seven and joining the club's youth ranks in 2016. He made his senior debut for São Paulo in January 2025, and by the time he left the club he had made 15 appearances across the season: two in the Campeonato Paulista, eight in the Brasileirão with an assist, one in the Copa do Brasil, and four in the Copa Libertadores, where he also set up a goal. He was part of the São Paulo squad that won the Supercopa do Brasil in 2024.

CSKA Moscow signed Alves in July 2025 for a reported €6 million, with São Paulo retaining a 25% sell-on clause, and tied him to a contract running until 2030. He has also featured eight times in the Russian Cup, scoring once. CSKA went on to win the 2025 Russian Super Cup, a trophy the club counts to his name despite his arrival mid-season.

Alves has represented Brazil at under-20 level. He was called up for a training camp and a set of friendlies in Egypt in June 2025, starting in a 4-0 win over South Korea.
