About the player
Naoufel El Hannach is a product of Paris Saint-Germain's academy, where he arrived in 2013 and stayed for twelve years before leaving in 2025. He was a mainstay of the PSG under-19 side that won the Championnat National U19 in the 2023–24 and 2024–25 seasons, and signed his first professional contract with the club in February 2025, running until 2027. Despite that progression, he never made a senior league appearance for PSG's first team.
Born in Poissy, El Hannach represents Morocco at youth international level. To continue his development, he was loaned out to Montpellier HSC for the 2025–26 season, a campaign in which the club dropped into Ligue 2. He made 19 appearances in the league and two more in the Coupe de France, totalling 21 matches with one assist to his name. The move carried no transfer fee and included no purchase option, and Montpellier have since taken him back on loan for a second consecutive season, with five Ligue 2 appearances so far.
El Hannach's route to first-team football has run entirely through loan spells rather than a path into PSG's own line-up, with Montpellier now the club shaping his senior career.
