N. S. Nunes

Nicole Nunes learned the game far from the mainland stages that would later define her career. Born in Funchal, she started out at GD APEL on Madeira before moving to União Cadima, and at just 14 she left the island for the mainland to join Estoril-Praia, where she spent roughly four seasons developing as a midfielder.

From there her path took her through Amora, Sporting Braga and Marítimo before a spell at SC Damaiense, where she made seven appearances in her last campaign. In July 2025 she signed for Torreense, a move that brought her to a side holding the Taça de Portugal Feminina at the time. She wears the number 88 shirt in midfield, primarily in a defensive role.

Nunes, also known in some records as Nicole Araújo, has represented Portugal at B-team level. She is included in Torreense's squad for the UEFA Women's Champions League 2026/2027.
