Nikola Skrobonya

Sombor is not a football name that comes up often outside its own borders, but it is where Nikola Skrobonja's story starts, at his hometown club FK Sombor, before Partizan Belgrade brought him into their youth academy. From there the path ran through TSC Bačka Topola and Voždovac as he worked his way through the lower and middle tiers of Serbian football rather than staying inside a big-club system.

The move that gave him his first real run of senior football came at Tekstilac Odžaci, where in the 2024/2025 season he made around twenty league appearances and scored once. That form was enough to earn him a free transfer to Radnički 1923 in Kragujevac last July, though his stay there was brief: seven appearances before a January move, again on a free, took him to Napredak Kruševac, where he played a further seven matches. In July, Novi Pazar signed him on a free transfer, and he now plays as an attacking midfielder or winger on the right side of Novi Pazar's game.

The more unusual chapter in Skrobonja's career so far is off the pitch entirely. In September 2023, Nogomania reported that he had switched his youth international allegiance from Serbia to Slovenia, a decision tied to his family heritage.
