Olivier da Costa Custodio

Olivier Custodio is a product of Lausanne-Sport's own academy, and it is to that club he returned in June 2022 after his contract talks with Lugano broke down, signing what was described as a long-term deal. By then he had already collected the one major honour of his career: on 15 May 2022 he scored in the 44th minute of the Swiss Cup final, helping Lugano beat FC St. Gallen 4–1 to lift the trophy. It capped a season in which he had made 33 league appearances and five in the cup, scoring once in each competition.

Born in Montreux, Custodio holds both Swiss and Portuguese nationality. His path took him from Lausanne-Sport through Luzern, where he suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury in July 2018 that kept him sidelined for over a month. He moved on to Lugano in 2019 on a three-year contract.

Internationally, Custodio represented Switzerland at youth level across three age groups, including nine caps and a goal for the under-19s, before caps for the under-20 and under-21 sides.
