About the player
Ollie Palmer's move to Wrexham in January 2022 cost the club £300,000, a club-record fee.
Palmer arrived from AFC Wimbledon. Wrexham won the National League in 2022–23, finished second in EFL League Two in 2023–24, and were runners-up in League One in 2024–25, which took them to the Championship. He scored 46 goals in 156 appearances for the club. He left by mutual consent on 29 August 2025 and joined Swindon Town the same day on a free transfer, signing a two-year contract to June 2027.
At Havant & Waterlooville he won the Conference South Player of the Year award and the Golden Boot in 2012–13, before Mansfield Town signed him in 2013. He was loaned to Grimsby Town from there. Leyton Orient signed him in 2015, and he spent a loan spell at Luton Town in 2017.
At Lincoln City he won the EFL Trophy in 2017–18 and was named in the Team of the Tournament. Crawley Town and AFC Wimbledon followed before Wrexham.
Palmer began at Woking, with loans at St Albans City and Boreham Wood, and was picked for the England Colleges team in 2010. He has not played for the senior England side.
Early in the 2025–26 season at Swindon he suffered a significant ankle injury.
