Ricardo Daniel Pepi

Ricardo Pepi scored a hat-trick on his professional debut, for North Texas SC in the USL League One in March 2019. He put pen to paper on a homegrown deal that June. In 2021 he became the youngest player in MLS history to score a hat-trick, doing it against LA Galaxy, and picked up both the MLS Young Player of the Year and the U.S. Soccer Young Male Player of the Year awards that same year.

That form took him to FC Augsburg in January 2022 for a fee that stood as a record for an American player leaving MLS. He scored 12 goals in 29 appearances and became the first player this century to score or assist in five of his first four league matches.

PSV Eindhoven made the move permanent in July 2023, and Pepi has since taken over the number 9 shirt vacated by Luuk de Jong.

He has since won the CONCACAF Nations League twice, scored the winner against Mexico in a Nations League semi-final, and was named by Mauricio Pochettino in the squad for the 2026 World Cup.
