About the player
Shokan Abzalov came up through the Kaisar academy in his native Kyzylorda, spending nine years there before breaking into the club's first team in 2017. Over four seasons with Kaisar he made 34 appearances and scored twice, while also turning out for the reserve side, Kaisar-M, and spending time on loan at Baikonur, where he was considerably more productive with 16 goals in 48 matches.
In 2019 he won the Kazakhstan Cup with Kaisar. Since then his career has followed a pattern of short stints: a season at Turan, a year at Okzhetpes, then a move to Kyzylzhar.
2025 alone took him to two more clubs. He joined Atyrau in February, making nine appearances, before returning to Turan in June, where he added a further 11 matches and a goal.
Internationally, Abzalov has yet to be capped by Kazakhstan's senior side, though he came through the country's youth ranks, representing the under-20 and under-21 teams.
