About the player
Stanislav Yovkov came through the Beroe Stara Zagora academy from the age of seven, working his way up through the club's youth sides in the Elitna grupa before earning senior minutes. He made his first-team debut for Beroe in the 2023/2024 season, and after signing his first professional contract with the club in the summer of 2024, he made seven appearances in 2024/2025 and nine in 2025/2026.
Along the way he spent the 2023/2024 campaign also turning out for Beroe II in the Yugoiztochna Treta Liga, featuring nine times. His entire development, from the U15 age group onward, took place within the Beroe system.
In July 2026 Yovkov left the club that had raised him, joining Dunav Ruse on a free transfer and signing a three-year contract.
A left-footed defender operating on the left side, Yovkov has also been involved with Bulgaria's youth setup, having been called up to the U19 squad for UEFA U19 Euro 2027 qualification matches and friendly tournaments.
