About the player
Three appearances for Austria's Under-21 side brought Tobias Anselm four goals, and two Under-16 caps brought two.
He grew up in Kirchbichl, playing for the local club SV Kirchbichl and then FC Kufstein. In 2013 he joined the Red Bull Salzburg academy. From there he moved into FC Liefering, Salzburg's reserve side, and played 44 matches for them, scoring nine goals, before leaving in 2020. For Austria he also played at Under-15 and Under-19 level, with one goal at each.
The move to LASK in August 2020, on a free transfer, did not lead to a first-team debut. Injuries kept him out, and he played only for the club's amateur side. His game time came on loan at WSG Tirol, where he spent two seasons and made 34 appearances with seven goals. A short spell at FC Viktoria Köln in 2024 added ten appearances and two goals.
In June 2024 he returned to WSG Tirol on a permanent free transfer. He has played 39 matches for the club since then and scored three goals.
Anselm is a right-footed forward and has no senior international caps.
