BC Rangers

It came six years after Hong Kong Rangers, also known as Biu Chun Rangers, won the Second Division in 1964–65, and the same season brought the Senior Shield. In 1974–75 they took the Shield again, together with the Viceroy Cup they had also won the year before.

Ian Petrie, a Scottish expatriate, started the side in 1958 as Rangers Football Team. In the 1960s he discovered Kwok Ka Ming, who is among the club's notable players. The club carries two nicknames, Hong Kong Ajax and Youth Training Cradle. The best-known name to pull on the sky-blue shirt did so once: George Best played a single game in 1982.

In 1991–92 Rangers won the Third 'A' Division, and three years later, in 1994–95, they took both the FA Cup and the Senior Shield. They won the Second Division again in 2011–12. Relegation followed in 2017–18, and they were promoted back to the Premier League a year later. In 2023–24 they won the Sapling Cup, which took them into the Asian Football Confederation Champions League.
