Capo won the SoCal Premier League in 2022–23 by beating Inland Empire Republic FC in the final. Before that came the United Premier Soccer League (UPSL) SoCal South title in Spring 2021, won in its first season at that level.

The senior side grew out of a youth organisation. It was set up in 2006 in southern Orange County as a non-profit, community-run project, and it is still led by President Peter Carey and long-time coach Ruben Mora. The crest carries the bell tower of Mission Basilica San Juan Capistrano with a cliff swallow on either side.

After the UPSL, the club moved up quickly: NISA Nation in 2022, USL League Two in 2023. In December 2023 it announced a professional team, which entered the National Independent Soccer Association (NISA) for the 2024 season. Captain Daniel Segal and top scorer Parker Scalzo are the names from that professional era.

The 2025 NISA Pro Cup took the team to a final, which it lost to Los Angeles Force. The club has no local derby; its most notable meeting with a bigger name came against Orange County SC in the U.S. Open Cup. Home games are played at JSerra Catholic High School Stadium, a school ground that seats 2,000.
