Lichtenberg

Viktoria spent recent seasons in the 3. Liga, which they reached in 2021 by winning the Regionalliga Nordost. They were undefeated when the pandemic ended that season early, and promotion followed for 2021/22. The step up came with a practical problem. The club is based in Lichterfelde, in the south-west of Berlin, but its senior matches in the third tier were played at the Friedrich-Ludwig-Jahn-Sportpark in Prenzlauer Berg, on the other side of the city. Viktoria's own allocation is often put at around 5,000, so most of the ground stays empty on their match days.

The Sky Blues in their present form are younger than the date on the badge suggests. The 1889 founding belongs to Berliner TuFC Viktoria 89, and the current club was formed on 1 July 2013 when BFC Viktoria 1889 merged with LFC Berlin. The merged side kept the older date. The Berliner Landespokal came in 2014, the first season after the merger, and again in 2019.

Their main rival is BFC Dynamo, and meetings between the two are billed as the Berlin Derby.

The women's team has produced its own name in Aylin Yaren, who was top scorer in the Regionalliga Nordost and took the side to the 2. Frauen-Bundesliga promotion playoffs. Among the men, in 2022, the season after Viktoria went up, Krahl left for 1. FC Kaiserslautern in the 2. Bundesliga.
