NXT secured a 3:2 victory against Searing United in the Challenger Pro League's Regular Season round two on Saturday. The home side survived a turbulent afternoon that saw both teams reduced to ten men, with the result lifting them to the top of the table. They move six points clear after two matches.
J. Van Britsom opened the scoring in the sixth minute, giving NXT an early advantage. Searing United had to work for their equaliser after M. Scarpinati was sent off for the hosts in the twenty-second minute following a second yellow card. A. H. Kamara levelled in the fifty-fifth minute after N. Amengai had given the visitors the lead in the fiftieth.
By then the match had opened up considerably. M. Muland, who had seen a penalty saved just before half-time, dragged Searing United back into contention.
