About the player

Breckin Mozingo grew up in Utah and made her name in the state long before she turned professional, setting a school record with 38 goals in a single season at Alta High School and winning the US Youth Soccer National Championship with Utah Celtic FC in 2019. When the Utah Royals took her fourth overall in the 2024 NWSL Draft, it was a Utah native joining the state's own club.

College is where the forward built her case. After six appearances at UCLA in 2019, she transferred to Brigham Young University, where she became the team's top scorer, finishing with 36 goals and 37 assists. That production brought Third Team All-American honours from College Soccer News and Second Team recognition from United Soccer Coaches in 2022, along with an All-WCC First Team selection, and in 2023 she was named a finalist for the MAC Hermann Trophy, awarded to the country's top collegiate player. That same November, she was named College Soccer News Women's National Player of the Week after scoring twice against Michigan State in the NCAA Sweet Sixteen.

Mozingo made her professional debut against the Chicago Red Stars in March 2024 and went scoreless through 18 regular-season appearances that year, with her first professional goals coming instead in the NWSL x Liga MX Femenil Summer Cup, a brace in a 5–1 win over Tijuana. In 2025 she added three goals in 23 appearances, and the Royals exercised their option to keep her for the 2026 season.
