E. Kobza

Eryk Kobza took the university route into professional football before it took him to Poland. He came through the Vancouver Whitecaps FC Academy as a youngster, then spent his college years with the Calgary Dinos, where he was made team captain and named a Canada West Second Team All-Star.

Rather than turning professional straight from the academy, Kobza went to Poland in August 2020 to sign for Sokół Ostróda. That spell ended by mutual consent in January 2021, and he moved on within the Polish league system to Podlasie Biała Podlaska, playing there into 2022. He then returned to Canada to complete his university eligibility with the Dinos.

His path back into the professional game ran through the CPL-U Sports Draft, where Cavalry FC picked him in the second round, 14th overall, in 2023. He signed a developmental contract that April before earning a full professional deal through 2025, with a club option for 2026, in July of the same year. Cavalry FC took up that option in January 2026, keeping him at the club.

Kobza has yet to win a senior international cap for either Canada or Poland. His only representative experience at youth level came at a Canada U15 training camp, and he previously held Canada U16 status.
