About the player
Wisconsin's Union Grove High School still lists him atop its record books with 113 goals and 275 points. At the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee he was named Horizon League Freshman of the Year, then transferred to Oregon State for a single season and finished it as Pac-12 Player of the Year and a First Team All-American after 15 goals in 21 appearances.
Before turning professional he spent two seasons with Ventura County Fusion in USL League Two, winning the national championship in 2022 and following it with the league's Player of the Year and Golden Boot awards in 2023. FC Dallas took him third overall in the 2024 MLS SuperDraft as a Generation Adidas signee. He also featured for the club's reserve side, North Texas SC, helping it win the 2024 MLS NEXT Pro Championship.
In MLS, Farrington has made 34 appearances and scored six goals in his debut 2024 season, followed by 26 appearances and four goals in 2025. He signed a contract extension in January 2025 that runs through 2027, with club options for two further years. Through the 2026 campaign he has continued to contribute in front of goal, adding eight MLS goals in 23 appearances plus a Leagues Cup strike. He has taken part in United States youth national team training camps at U-23 level, though a senior cap has not yet followed.
