R. D. Rivas Torres

Richardson Rivas came through Boavista's youth system in Rio de Janeiro before earning his move into professional football. He featured for the club's under-20 side in the 2024 Carioca Sub-20 tournament, making five appearances as Boavista reached the semi-finals, and continued in the age-group setup the following year with outings in the Copinha and the Copa Rio under-20 competition. That development work paid off with a first senior appearance for Boavista in the 2025 Carioca league, a taste of first-team football that preceded his move to Fortaleza FC, completed on a permanent transfer in January 2026.

Rivas built his early career entirely within Brazilian football rather than in his native Colombia, with no record of youth clubs back home before he joined Boavista. His progression followed a conventional academy path: age-group tournaments, a step up to the first team, then a transfer to a new club once that senior debut was made.

He has not yet been capped at any level for Colombia's national teams, and his move to Fortaleza represents the next test of whether his under-20 form in Rio de Janeiro translates into a regular role in senior football.
