Tomás Martínez

Tomás Martínez came through River Plate's academy, signing his first professional contract in July 2011 and making his senior debut in 2013. He won the Argentine Primera División in the Torneo Final of 2013–14 and lifted the Copa Sudamericana that year.

A loan to CD Tenerife followed in 2015, cut short the following February, before a spell at Defensa y Justicia produced three goals in fifteen games. River Plate then sold him to Braga for a reported fee of a million euros, though he made just three first-team appearances in Portugal.

His move to Houston Dynamo in July 2017, as a Young Designated Player. He helped the club win the US Open Cup in 2018 and was named to the MLS Team of the Week that April. Over three and a half seasons in Houston, Martínez made 98 appearances and scored 14 goals before the club declined his contract option after 2020.

before he joined FBC Melgar in Peru in January 2023. Internationally, Martínez represented Argentina at under-20 level, starting seven of nine matches as the side won the 2015 South American Youth Championship and starting all three games at that year's U-20 World Cup.

He arrived at Barcelona SC in January 2026 as a free agent, signing a one-year deal.
