Ice hockey in Majadahonda has almost no other name than the club that plays at the Palacio de Hielo, a rink with room for 865 that everyone in the town still calls La Nevera.
The men's side had its moment in 1997–98, when Kent Nilsson arrived. He joined the squad for that single season and left with the club's only Spanish championship.
What followed belonged to the women. Juan Bravo, once a player and coach at the club, now runs it as president while the women's team carries his legacy on the ice under captain Elena Álvarez.
