Mörums GoIS

The Blekinge-derby against KRIF Hockey has followed Mörrums GoIS IK through most of its life on the ice.

The name Laxarna, the salmon, comes from the rivers around Mörrum. Home games are played at Jössarinken, known locally as Mörrums Ishall.

The club has never taken an SM-guld, and its high point remains five seasons in the Allsvenskan between 2000 and 2005 after promotion that year. Patrick Thoresen passed through during the 2003–04 campaign, in the Allsvenskan season, before his move to Djurgårdens IF. More recently the club finished fifth in HockeyEttan Södra in 2024–25 before losing to Halmstad Hammers HC in the Play-In, then placed 12th in HockeyEttan the following season.

The ice hockey section split off on its own in 1987, though the section itself dates to 1966, formed under the wider Mörrums Gymnastik och Idrottssällskap, itself founded in 1925 — the gymnastics and sports club that the salmon-town side grew out of.
