Puigcerdà

The line goes back to a schoolboy team at the Pensionat d'Alta Muntanya, which played its first match on the frozen lake at Puigcerdà before the club took shape in 1956. It was a founding member of the Liga Nacional de Hockey Hielo when that competition began in 1972, and has not stopped collecting its titles since: the first double came in 1985–86, three more league titles followed in a row between 2006 and 2008, and the sixth title arrived in 2019–20 after a gap of more than a decade.

Across town in Jaca sits the club's oldest rival, and the fixture between them is known as the Clásico Pirenaico. In cup finals since 1983 Puigcerdà has beaten Jaca nine times to three, a record built match by match rather than in one era. Sergi Pous, who died in 2015, is still spoken of as the player who defined those years for the club.

The women's team, set up in 2006, added its own league title in 2025–26, playing in the same black and yellow as the men and out of the same rink, the Palau de Gel, which holds 1,450. For the men, the task now is to defend a double that has been done only three times before in the club's history.
