Troja/Ljungby

Troja-Ljungby's first match, on 29 December 1948 against Cyrus of Jönköping, came nine months after the club had been founded, on 22 March that year.

Troja is regarded across Swedish hockey as a plantskola , a nursery club. Pierre Engvall, Mattias Weinhandl, Oscar Fantenberg, Jacob Larsson and Helge Grans all came through Ljungby on their way to the NHL, and Roger Johansson went from the same system to an Olympic gold medal with Sweden in 1994. Kennert "Sutarn" Andersson and Morgan Grans are among those whose jerseys hang retired at Ljungby Arena.

Troja went up to HockeyAllsvenskan in 2008, sealing that promotion by winning the Division 1 playoffs outright, then dropped back in 2014. It has since bounced between the tiers — up in 2017, down in 2018, up in 2021, down in 2022, up again in 2025 — before relegation caught up with it once more in 2026.
