Sala Sporturilor Dunărea sits in Galați. The hall has a capacity of 1,500, a figure that reflects a significant reduction from its original size. The venue is currently undergoing a further energy renovation funded by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, which includes the installation of heat pumps and solar panels.

The building itself is an example of socialist modernist design, completed in 1973 after construction began three years prior. The venue hosts three primary tenants: the basketball side CS Phoenix Galați, the volleyball team CS Arcada Galați, and the women's handball club CSM Galați. In November 2023, Arcada staged a run in the CEV Champions League qualification, defeating Olympiacos Piraeus to reach the group stage for the first time in their history.

The hall has hosted concerts by Carla's Dreams, Zdob și Zdub, and Horia Brenciu. It even saw a futsal final in May 2025 between CS United Galați and FK Odorheiu Secuiesc.
