About

The Bulgarian Men's Volleyball Cup is the primary national knockout competition for men's volleyball in Bulgaria, organized by the Bulgarian Volleyball Federation. Founded in 1954, the tournament has endured several interruptions in the late 1950s and early 1960s before stabilizing into a regular fixture on the domestic calendar. It operates as a standalone domestic cup, distinct from the Bulgarian Super Volley League and the Bulgarian Super Cup.

Unlike the league, which determines the national champion through a regular season and playoffs, the Cup is a knockout tournament that often serves as a qualifier for European competitions such as the CEV Cup or Challenge Cup. The format has evolved over time, shifting from multi-stage knockout rounds including 1/16 and 1/8 finals to a modern "Final Four" structure. In recent years, this culminates in quarterfinals, semifinals, and a single-match final hosted by one of the participating clubs.

CSKA Sofia is the most successful club in the competition's history with 19 titles, followed by Levski Sofia with 14 titles, and Slavia Sofia with 10 titles. Other notable winners include Minyor Pernik with three titles, Hebar Pazardzhik with four titles, and Neftohimik Burgas with five titles. The competition does not have a sponsor in its official name, remaining simply the Bulgarian Volleyball Cup.

Participation is based on qualification criteria, usually involving top league teams and sometimes lower-division sides in earlier rounds. There is no promotion or relegation associated with the Cup. The current holder is Neftohimik 2010 Burgas, who defeated Pirin Razlog in the final. Levski Sofia won the 2025 edition, ending an 11-year drought.
