1. DOL (Slovenia) 2026/27

The 1. DOL stands as the premier men's professional volleyball competition in Slovenia. Organized by the Volleyball Federation of Slovenia (OZS), the league serves as the highest level of domestic play. The competition began in 1991, coinciding with the nation's independence, and initially included clubs transitioning from the Yugoslav system.

The season comprises eight teams engaging in a regular season played in a double round-robin format. Following the initial phase, the competition splits into two distinct groups. The top six teams enter a Championship Group, while the bottom two form a Relegation Group. This structure determines the national title and the teams that must fight to remain in the top tier.

Success in the league ultimately leads to a playoff bracket featuring quarter-finals, semi-finals, and a final. The championship decider is a best-of-5 series, ensuring the winner is determined through extended play. The winner of the 1. DOL earns the right to represent Slovenia in European competitions.

Historically, ACH Volley Ljubljana has dominated the competition. The club holds 22 titles, far surpassing other winners such as Alpacem Kanal and Calcit Volley Kamnik. This success makes them the current champions heading into the 2025–26 season.

The league operates under the sponsorship of Sportklub, officially known as the Sportklub prva odbojkarska liga. Movement between tiers is strictly defined. The last-placed team in the Relegation Group is automatically relegated to the 2. DOL. Promotion involves a playoff between the third-placed team of the 1. DOL Relegation Group and the second-placed team of the 2. DOL.
