1. DOL Women (Slovenia) 2025/26

The **1. DOL Women** stands as the premier women’s volleyball competition in Slovenia, operating at the apex of the domestic pyramid. Organized by the Volleyball Federation of Slovenia (OZS), the league has defined the landscape for female athletes since its inception in 1991. The structure ensures a rigorous pathway for clubs striving for national glory and European qualification.

For the 2024–2025 campaign, the format involves a split system. Sixteen participants are divided into two groups: the 1A. DOL and the 1B. DOL. Progression through the season relies on a regular series followed by a complex playoff phase. The top six teams from the 1A. DOL advance to the 'Blue Group', while the lower placements in that tier join forces with the leaders from the 1B. DOL in the 'Green Group'. This configuration determines the remaining spots in the knockout stages. These stages feature Quarter-finals and Semi-finals played as best-of-3 series, culminating in a Final decided over a best-of-5 series.

**OTP Banka Branik** dominates the historical record with 18 titles, holding the current championship position. Their success contrasts with **Calcit Volley**, which sits at eight titles. The competitive balance differs significantly from the men's equivalent, where rivals are more evenly matched. The league champion earns a place in the **CEV Champions League**, while the winner of the Slovenian Cup qualifies for the **CEV Challenge Cup**.

Relegation impacts the bottom teams, sending them down to the second tier, while regional champions from the 2. DOL gain entry to the 1B. DOL. This mechanism keeps the league dynamic, forcing clubs to maintain high standards throughout the year.
