Hungarian Cup (Hungary) 2025/26

**The Hungarian Volleyball Cup**

The Magyar Kupa serves as the premier domestic knockout tournament for Hungarian volleyball, operating under the authority of the Hungarian Volleyball Federation. Unlike many national leagues that feature separate super cups, this competition stands as the sole national cup entity for the sport within the country.

Founded in 1951, the tournament has evolved into a structured event that determines national supremacy across both men's and women's divisions. The format begins with early knockout stages, where matches may be decided by single games or two-legged ties depending on the participants' league tier. These preliminary rounds culminate in the Final Four weekend, known locally as the Négyes döntő. This concluding phase features two semi-final matches and a final, alongside a third-place match, all played over a condensed two-day period.

Success in the Magyar Kupa carries significant international weight for Hungarian clubs. The men's champion secures a place in the CEV Challenge Cup, while the women's winner qualifies for the CEV Cup. This pathway provides European exposure without linking to domestic league promotion.

Historical dominance has been shaped by specific powerhouses. In the men's category, Kaposvár Volley holds the record with eighteen titles, followed by Csepel with fourteen. Kaposvár Volley also leads the women's competition with eighteen titles, with Újpest and Vasas close behind. The most recent men's title was claimed by MÁV Előre Foxconn in March 2025, while Vasas Óbuda remains the reigning women's champion following their victory in the 2023–2024 season.
