About

The Liga Nacional Superior de Voleibol (LNSV) is the premier professional volleyball competition in Peru. Organized by the Peruvian Volleyball Federation (Federación Peruana de Voleibol, FPV), it features a bifurcated gender structure comprising distinct men's and women's divisions. The men's league was established in 2004, succeeding the División Superior Nacional de Voleibol, while the women's competition began in 2002. In 2025, the women's division underwent a commercial rebranding as the Liga Peruana de Vóley Femenino, also known as Liga Peruana de Vóley Betsson, while the men's tournament retains the LNSV designation.

The men's league currently fields ten teams competing in a round-robin regular season followed by a playoff phase. The top eight sides advance to quarterfinals, semifinals, and finals, contested as best-of-three series. Relegation involves the last-placed team dropping directly to the Liga Nacional Intermedia, with the third-to-last club facing a playoff against the second-division runner-up. The women's league operates with twelve teams through a two-stage round-robin system before a knockout final phase. Promotion and relegation follow a similar playoff mechanism between the top and second tiers.

Historical performance highlights the competitive landscape. In the men's division, Vamos Peerless stands as the most successful club with ten titles, securing a four-year winning streak from 2021 to 2024. They hold the status of current reigning champions. The women's league sees Regatas Lima with a record eight titles in the LNSV era, while Alianza Lima is the current women's champion, having secured the 2023–24 and 2024–25 titles. The competition structure remains distinct within Peruvian sport due to its unified federation management and specific playoff formats.
