Girona played Sabadell in a club friendly on Thursday evening, and the match ended in a 2:2 draw. The hosts took an early lead through G. Jastin in the seventeenth minute, but Sabadell fought back after the break to earn a point.
Jastin came off at half-time after his opening goal, and Sabadell immediately struck through G. Fornes in the forty-seventh minute. V. Vanat then added a penalty in the fifty-eighth minute to put the visitors ahead.
D. Lopez was booked twice in quick succession and sent off in the eightieth minute. He received his first yellow in the fifty-fifth and a second just twenty-five minutes later, leaving Girona with ten men.
The final goal arrived in stoppage time at ninety-three minutes, completing the comeback. Both sides made several changes, with Sabadell bringing on Q. Liameed, V. Vanat, and O. Sanz while Girona introduced I. Gonzalez, J. Priego, and M. Codina.
Girona dominated possession at 58 per cent and registered 82 attacks compared to Sabadell's 73. The visitors managed only one corner to the hosts' two, but they converted their chances when it mattered.
For Girona, this result follows a mixed run of friendlies, including a heavy defeat to Arsenal on Tuesday. Sabadell's recent form shows improvement, with a victory over Manresa and draws against Andorra and Espanyol.
