Brommapojkarna Women claimed a 2-0 victory over Kristianstad in the seventeenth round of the Damallsvenskan on Saturday. The result moved the visitors to 20 points in ninth place while Kristianstad remained on 25 points in sixth position.
Both sides made changes at the interval, with Kristianstad bringing on Elin Hansson in the forty-sixth minute and Brommapojkarna substituting Olivia Sjoblom sixty-one minutes in. The match remained goalless until the second half when Amanda Wulff broke the deadlock in the eightieth minute.
By then the visitors had been creating more trouble. They registered 134 attacks compared to 111 for the hosts, and their nine corners told a different story from Kristianstad's two. The home side held 55 per cent possession but could not convert it into meaningful chances.
Wulff doubled her tally five minutes later in the eighty-fifth minute to seal the result. Kristianstad responded with substitutions, introducing Alice Egner in the seventy-second minute and Lova Sternfeldt in the eighty-sixth, but the outcome was already determined.
The defeat leaves Kristianstad unable to close the gap on the teams above them. Brommapojkarna extended their challenge for a higher finish, though they remain four points behind sixth place and still need to improve their consistency away from home.
