Municipal came from behind to win 1:2 against Marcense in the National League Regular Season at Marcense's ground on 3 August. The visitors took the lead inside the first half and held on despite a late surge from the hosts.
It began badly for Marcense with a penalty missed inside the first twelve minutes. A. Ledesma then put the home side ahead at fourteen, but Municipal responded quickly. J. Mendez equalised at thirty-four and J. Morales turned the game at forty-three.
By then Marcense had switched off at the back and paid the price. They pressed after the break but could not find a way through. Four substitutions were made by each side, with Marcense bringing on R. E. Corado Ruano, A. Matta, R. Barrientos and J. Franco.
The statistics told a familiar story. Both teams registered forty-six attacks, but Municipal were more clinical with seven shots on target compared to four. Marcense dominated possession at fifty-one per cent yet their five shots off target were wasted.
Marcense remain without a victory in five matches, a run that includes a heavy defeat away at Guastatoya. Municipal, meanwhile, are running out of games but have stopped the rot with back-to-back results.
