Slovan Liberec women secured a comfortable 5-0 win over Slovancko in the fourth round of the 1. Liga regular season on Saturday. The result leaves the hosts three points clear at third place with a game in hand on several rivals.
And here's the thing about this match — it was decided before half-time. S. Truxova opened the scoring in the 39th minute, then doubled her tally just before the break. Slovancko had no answer to the pressure.
By then the visitors were already on the back foot. D. Jonasova had picked up a yellow card in the 10th minute, and the structure began to crumble. A. Skerdova added a third in the 59th minute, and the game was effectively over.
R. Hlouchova completed the scoring with two strikes — one in the 72nd minute and another in the 84th. Slovancko offered little in return, their recent form suggesting they were outclassed from the start.
To be fair, Slovancko had shown resilience earlier this season with a win against Horní Heršpice and a draw at Baník Ostrava. But against a side that had only lost once in three league games, the gap was too wide.
The hosts move to six points from three matches, while Slovancko remain in sixth with four points from four outings. The visitors have now lost two of their last three league games and will need to regroup quickly.
