About the player
Adrian Blake spent a decade in Watford's academy before Utrecht picked him up on a free transfer in July 2023, having joined the Watford system as an eight-year-old in 2013. He signed his first professional contract with Watford's U21 side in August 2022 and made his senior debut for the club before the move to the Netherlands.
At Utrecht he started out with the Jong side and was promoted to the first team in 2024, making his competitive debut on 14 January that year as an 88th-minute substitute in a goalless Eredivisie draw with Vitesse. By March 2025 he had made 15 appearances across all competitions, scoring four goals — three in the league and one in the KNVB Cup. He has since become a regular fixture, having made 23 Eredivisie appearances and scored twice in the 2025/26 season.
Blake has represented England at youth level, earning three caps for the U18s and scoring against Norway on 9 June 2023. He also has five caps for the England U19s, having made his debut against Germany on 6 September 2023.
